Justin Kim (Senior Pastor) is husband to Virginia and father to Tabitha, Barnabas, and Maximus. Prior to BEC, he has been an active minister of the Word on both American coasts. Besides church, he loves to go on a food adventure around California. He attended James Madison University and has a Master of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary. He is ordained under the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) and joyfully serves as a board member for the Sola Network (Sola.Network)
Dan Nam (Executive Pastor/Family Ministry Pastor) seeks to empower and strengthen the next generation. As the pastor for our family ministry, he brings great charisma to the families. He is husband to Helen and father to Abby and Issac. He holds a MA from Talbot School of Theology and a Master of Divinity from Gateway Seminary. He is ordained through the Evangelical Church Alliance (ECA).
Tim Chung (College Pastor) is well experienced in collegiate ministry from both coasts. As the college pastor, he seeks to reach out to college students, encouraging them to seek their calling as believers on campuses across Orange County. He is married to Younghae and they have two young boys, Jordan and Jacoby. Although Tim is originally from the east coast, sunny California has convinced him that the west cost is the best coast! His new bucket list is to visit all the national parks in the U.S. Tim is currently pursuing his Master of Divinity degree from Talbot School of Theology.
Peter Lee (Worship/Young Adult Pastor) is husband to April and father to Bethany. He graduated from UC Irvine and has been a full-time worship staff with CRU (KCCC) for six years and is active in serving the college campuses and local churches through his ministry. His greatest desire is to connect people to Christ through praise and worship. Aside from ministry and family, Peter loves to watch and play sports, be around good company, listen to music, and eat. Peter is currently pursuing his Master of Divinity degree from Talbot School of Theology.
Daniel Kim (Education Pastor) is husband to Julia, and father to Emma and Kate. His passion is to serve our youth, and strives to build them up in Christ during their most formative years. His hope is that the church will share the burden to serve our youth, and prays that we may come together as one family to disciple them. He studied economics at UC Berkeley, and is currently working on a M.A. in pastoral care and counseling at Talbot School of Theology and a M.Div. from Gateway Seminary.
Gene Kim (Senior High Pastor) is husband to Jeni. He has been serving in Bethel's senior high youth group since 2006--as a volunteer teacher, an intern pastor, and now as the pastor. He is passionate about shepherding the next generation by equipping them with a firm foundation in the Word and cultivating a "listening" ministry with boldness to serve and reach out to others for the glory of God. In his spare time, he loves to go backpacking, hiking, and camping. He attended Cal State Fullerton and holds a Master of Divinity degree from Talbot School of Theology.
Jin Seo (Junior High Pastor) is husband to Cathy Seo. He has been serving at Bethel Youth Ministry (in Junior High and Senior High) since 2013. He desires to foster a community for the youth to build faithful God-centered relationships within and outside of the church context. Aside from church, he loves to play basketball, watch Texas Longhorns Football, and going on food adventures with Cathy (all the time). He is a graduate of University of Texas at Austin and holds a Master of Divinity degree from Talbot School of Theology.
Jinah Yi (Church School Director) is at the core of our elementary students. Throughout the year, you will see her organizing the wonderful programs that the children enjoy. Just like Jinah, her staff are also ready to preach and teach the Gospel to all the children at our church campus. She is wife to Jeff and mother to Jonathan and Johannah. She attended UCLA and Biola and holds a M.A. Educational Leadership from Gateway Seminary.

Sam Kim (Intern Pastor) is currently a student at Talbot Seminary and is studying for the M. Div. in Pastoral Care and Counseling. Sam seeks to be more intimate with the Lord by reading His Word, singing praises to Him, and simply talking to Him as a friend. He loves hearing people’s stories and is seeking to learn to become a pastoral counselor. He has a heart for the broken hearted and desires for them to experience the healing love of our Father in heaven. He has graduated with a B. A. in Biblical Studies from Biola University. Sam loves being in nature and eating good food. He misses the city of Chicago and its famous Lou Malnati’s deep dish pizza.
